Senior Accountant

Our client is  the leading commodities trading company. They are now looking for a Senior Accountant to join them.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, control and monitor all financial accounting related matters and assist in preparation of financial reports in accordance with IFRS to ensure that reporting is accurate and delivered within the timelines set by the regulators and external/internal stakeholders.
• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.

Preference

• A portion of experience should have been in a supervisory role.
• Business partnering and senior stakeholder engagement experience.
• Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas. 
• Experience with financial reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

•  Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CA or ACCA Qualified.
• MBA Finance preferred
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with multiple retail outlets
• Experience with Netsuite ERP system
