Our client is a Spectator Sports company. They are now seeking a Sr. Manager of Claims & Litigation to join them.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Claims Management:
- Oversee the management of all claims, including general liability, workers' compensation, insurance claims, and other legal claims against the organization.
- Investigate claims, gather relevant documentation, and coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to assess and resolve claims efficiently.
- Develop strategies for early resolution of claims to minimize financial and reputational impact on the organization.
- Maintain accurate records of all claims and track their progress through resolution.
- Litigation Management:
- Manage and oversee all litigation matters, including lawsuits, arbitration, mediation, and other legal proceedings involving the organization.
- Develop and execute litigation strategies in coordination with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external legal counsel, ensuring clear communication and effective case management.
- Prepare legal documentation, review pleadings, and ensure compliance with legal deadlines and court requirements.
- . Legal Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
- Identify and assess legal risks related to claims and litigation, providing recommendations to minimize risk exposure.
- Work with senior management and business units to implement strategies that mitigate future legal risks and prevent litigation.
- Conduct internal reviews and audits to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Monitor legal trends, industry regulations, and precedents that could impact claims or litigation strategy.
- Settlement Negotiation & Dispute Resolution:
- Lead negotiations with opposing parties, insurers, and other stakeholders to reach favorable settlements in litigation and claims matters.
- Explore alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms, such as mediation and arbitration, to resolve disputes efficiently.

- Provide counsel to leadership on settlement options, weighing risks and benefits to make informed decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., finance, HR, GRC, operations) to gather necessary information and align strategies on claims and litigation matters.
- Ensure that claims and litigation strategies align with the organization’s overall goals and risk management objectives.
- Work closely with insurance teams to manage claims covered by insurance policies and coordinate with insurers on defense strategies.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and present reports to senior leadership, summarizing the status of ongoing claims and litigation, risks, and key outcomes.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all litigation cases, claims settlements, legal fees, and associated costs.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory bodies or stakeholders as required.
- Legal Compliance:
- Ensure that claims and litigation management processes comply with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Oversee adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, such as court filings, documentation retention, and claims reporting.
- Stay informed of new legal developments, case law, and regulations that may affect litigation or claims strategy.
Preference
Qualifications:-
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, or a related field (J.D. preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in claims management, litigation, or legal practice, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role.
- Prior experience in a Saudi government entity, semi-government entity, or non-profit is a plus.
- Strong understanding of claims processes, litigation procedures, and legal dispute resolution.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to represent the organization in legal proceedings.
- Proven ability to manage complex litigation cases and resolve claims efficiently.
- High level of attention to detail and organizational skills in managing legal documentation and case records.
