Senior Accountant

Our client is a Gaming company. They are now looking for an Senior Accountant to join them.

Roles & Responsibilities 

• Support the Finance Manager and prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Conduct variance analysis to support financial assessments and decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including but not limited to those under ZATCA (ZAKAT, VAT, CIT, and WHT).
• Support the Finance Manager and liaise with external and internal auditors and provide necessary documentation during annual and periodic audits.
• Support the CFO & Finance Manager with the implementation and monitoring of internal controls to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Assist in the development and optimisation of financial policies and procedures.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support the company's strategic initiatives and projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Shareholder/Partners, to provide financial insight on projects and investments.
• Encourage an environment of continuous learning, development, and improvement.

Qualifications:

• Certifications: CPA or CMA is required; certifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, and SOCPA.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
  • Experience in the video game industry or related media fields is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is essential.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to tackle complex issues and provide effective solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, necessary for presenting financial information clearly and concisely to stakeholders who may not have a finance background.
• Proactivity: A proactive, detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
