Client is seeking a talented Legal Counsel with a strong corporate background to join our Legal team. They are looking for someone with a particular passion for the rapidly evolving crypto industry.

As Legal Counsel, you will work closely with all areas of the business and take a consultative and collaborative approach to solving complex legal and business issues. You will be working on a diverse range of projects across multiple jurisdictions and will have the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the business’ global growth. 

You will be joining a rapidly growing team in one of the region’s most promising FinTechs'.


About You:


  • You are a junior corporate lawyer (around 2 - 3 years PQE)
  • You ideally have some FinTech experience (e.g., payment institutions, e-money institutions, etc.)
  • You are English qualified, or qualified in a US jurisdiction
  • You have spent several years working at a reputable English, US or international law firm, and have previously worked in-house (including on secondment)
  • You have significant experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, including technology agreements
  • You have experience setting up businesses in multiple jurisdictions and have a strong grasp of the associated legal and business issues that may arise
  • You have experience preparing resolutions, minutes of meetings, powers of attorney, etc.
  • You have experience working on corporate group structuring and intragroup arrangements
  • You have experience working on acquisitions in various jurisdictions, including in emerging markets
  • You have some experience with fundraising
  • You are excited to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • You are willing to be flexible with the scope and variety of projects to be undertaken in this role
  • You are able to handle ambiguity and constant change
  • You have strong negotiation skills
  • You can work autonomously and independently but are also comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team

  • You have great communication skills and can explain complex legal issues clearly and simply
  • You draft in the simplest language possible that non-lawyers can understand
  • You pick up new legal concepts quickly and have a common-sense approach
  • You have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • You are open-minded, adaptable and willing to accept new challenges


What you will be doing:


  • You will draft, review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including NDAs, IT agreements and third party supplier agreements
  • You will prepare various corporate documents, including resolutions, minutes of meetings and powers of attorney
  • You will work on intragroup arrangements, including corporate structuring and intragroup agreements
  • You will help with fundraising activities
  • You will work on acquisitions in various jurisdictions
  • You will help the business launch in new countries and new products, always ensuring that the client remains compliant with legal and regulatory requirements and is aware and addresses legal and business risks
  • You will work across the business and be prepared to deal with any legal issue that might arise
